1. Khet Bachao Abhiyan (Agricultural Campaign)
- Launch: Officially launched on June 1, 2026, by Union Agricultural Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh.
- Objective: To conserve agricultural soil and protect soil fertility by encouraging a balanced use of fertilizers and reducing the over-reliance on chemical fertilizers that degrade soil quality.
- Implementation: It is a 30-day country-wide awareness campaign (June 1–30) managed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
- Participation: Approximately 2.71 crore citizens have already registered to help spread awareness.

2. City Economic Region Scheme
- Funding for Visakhapatnam: Under this scheme, Visakhapatnam is set to receive ₹5,000 crore in central funds.
- Purpose: Part of the Union Budget 2026-27, the scheme aims to develop Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities into urban clusters to reduce the burden on major metropolitan areas like Hyderabad and Bangalore
- National Clusters: Seven national clusters have been identified for development, including Visakhapatnam (AP), Bangalore (Karnataka), Pune (Maharashtra), Surat (Gujarat), Varanasi (UP), Coimbatore-Erode-Tiruppur (Tamil Nadu), and Bhubaneswar-Puri-Cuttack (Odisha).
- Visakhapatnam Specifics: The project covers nine coastal districts and includes developing the Bhimili-Kailasagiri Bay City, Bhogapuram Aero City, and eco-tourism in Araku Valley.
3. India’s First Women-Led Solar Power Plant
- Location: Established in Venkatapuram, Khammam District, Telangana.
- Management: Managed entirely by Self-Help Group (SHG) women from the Chaitanya Mandala Mahila Samakhya and Velugu Mandala Samakhya.
- Capacity & Cost: The plant has a 1 Megawatt (MW) capacity and cost ₹2.84 crore to build
- Funding Structure: SHGs contributed a 10% share (₹28.4 lakhs), the Telangana government provided a ₹1 crore subsidy, and the remainder was secured through bank loans.
- State Policy: This aligns with the Telangana Clean and Green Energy Policy 2025, which targets 20 GW of renewable energy by 2030
4. PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
- Milestone: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi announced that 40 lakh households have now been equipped with rooftop solar under this scheme as of May 2026.
- Target: The goal is to reach 1 crore households by March 31, 2027.
- Benefits: Participating households receive up to 300 units of free electricity per month.
- Global Context: India currently ranks third globally in solar power production, behind China and the USA

- Vietnam Deal: Vietnam has signed a deal worth approximately ₹6,000 crore ($629 million) to purchase BrahMos missiles from India.

- BrahMos Details: A supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by India (DRDO) and Russia (NPOM) with a speed of Mach 2.8 to 3.0.
