NIOS has cancelled the NIOS Class 12 exams as per a notification dated today. The move will benefit 1.75 lakh students and the results will be announced as per an objective criterion.
The Public Examinations in Theory and Practical of Sr. Secondary Courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby cancelled. The NIOS will devise a well-defined objective criteria for assessment in a time bound manner, said the notification.
Regional directors have been asked to forward the notification to all study centres.
Students can appear for exam later
Students who are not satisfied with the NIOS Class 12 results which would be announced as per the objective criteria can appear for an exam which will be held later on.
“Any learner who is not satisfied with the assessment will be given an option to appear in Public examinations or through On-Demand Examination (ODE) as and when situation becomes conducive to hold the examinations,” states the official notification.
“In such circumstances, the result of the concerned learner in Public Examinations or in ODE will be treated as final,” it added.
