DOST is online degree admission system for students in Telangana. The govt. has brought this system to curb the degree colleges from collecting high fee and standardize the orderliness of the colleges. However, a few degree colleges are admitting student without coming into the network of DOST, with the permission of the High Court.
These colleges claim that they can’t run the colleges with low fee of Rs. 25,000 + cap of Rs. 10,000 decided by the govt. Now, the govt. has decided not to provide fee reimbursement for those students who join in such colleges.
Telangana government has decided to exclude fee reimbursement for the students who join in degree colleges that are not under the network of DOST.
