Railways RRC group D recruitment 2019-21: Check exam pattern, syllabus, selection procedure: The interested candidates can apply for 1,03,769 Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) group D posts till April 12, 2019. RRC has yet not announced the dates for the first computer-based test (CBT). As per the cell, the exam date will soon be announced after the completion of the application process. The first examination is likely to be conducted from September to October 2019.

RRC group D recruitment 2019-21: Syllabus for Computer Based Test

1. Mathematics

Number System, BODMAS, Decimals & Fractions, LCM & HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Elementary Statistics, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Squares & Square Roots, Age Calculations, Calendars & Clocks, Pipes and Cisterns, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest.

2. General Science
The syllabus under this covers Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10 standard levels.

3. General Awareness on Current Affairs

Science and Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance that need a lot of focus.

4. General Intelligence and reasoning

Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Alphabetical and Number Series, Relationships, Mathematical Operations, Venn Diagrams, Syllogism, Jumbling, Similarities and Differences, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Statement- Arguments and Assumptions and Directions.

Railways RRC Group D: Exam pattern

  • The paper will consist of objective type questions on Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness.
  • The exam duration is 90 minutes.
  • Note: There will be negative marking of 1/3 of the marks for incorrect answers in the CBT.

Selection procedure:

The candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
