The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited applications
for CBSE Merit Scholarship for single girl children. This CBSE Merit
Scholarship is applicable for the girl students who are the only child
of their parents and wish to continue their higher education after Class
10. CBSE offers this scheme with the aim of providing recognition to
the efforts of the parents to educate their single girl child.
All single girl children who have scored a minimum of 60 percent marks in their Class 10 Board Exams are eligible to apply for the CBSE Merit Scholarship. The tuition fees of the students should not be more than 21,500 per month and the same for the NRIs can be extended to an amount of 26,000 per month.
The renewal process of the scholarship will be paid for a period of two years and it will be renewed once the child passes Class 11. The continuation of the scholarship is also based on the grounds of regularity as well as good conduct. The last date to apply for the CBSE Merit Scholarship is October
