AP PGECET 2016 is the Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Engineering Common
Entrance Test, a state level entrance test owning by the Jawaharlal
Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK). AP PGECET is conducted
by the JNTUK on the behalf of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education
(APSCHE), a statutory Body of the Government of A.P., Hyderabad. The
students who want to go for the postgraduate in engineering, technology
and pharmacy can opt this test. This is the AP entrance test for
ME/M.Tech/M.Pharmacy courses. The qualified candidates of GATE/GPAT need
not to take this test as they are admitted on the basis of their score
card of GATE/GPAT
.
Application Form
The application form of AP PGECET 2016
are available online only. No offline facility will be provided to the
candidates to apply for the AP PGECET 2016 entrance exam. The
application form is available from 6th March, 2016 and the notifications
will be issued from 3rd March, 2016. Only the candidates secured 50 %
(GEN/OBC) and 45% (SC/ST) are eligible to appear in the test.
Important Dates
- Notifications will be commenced: 3rd March, 2016
- Date of Examination: 25th-27th May, 2016
- Starting date of online application: 6th March 2016
- Last date of the online form submission: 3rd week of April, due date candidates fill the form till 3rd week of May, 2016 but with a penalty of increment in the application fee (increased on the daily basis).
- Admit Card Downloading date: in the month of May, 2016.
Application Fee:
Applicants have to pay the fee of Rs. 600/- for unreserved category candidates and Rs. 300/- for reserved category candidates. The candidates can apply for more than one postgraduate exam under AP PGECET, but they have to pay separate application fee for each exam. Interested candidates can pay the application fee through credit/debit card or also pay the fee at AP online centre.Application form Procedure
The candidates can get the application form either from the AP online centre or from the official website of the AP PGECET. Firstly, a candidate has to make the payment then, he/she will be able to fill the form. Follow the following steps to complete the application form:- After visiting the form online from the official webiste , the candidate will be able to view the application form.
- Now fill all the relevant details required in the form.
- Enter all your academic and personal details in the form.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature carefully in the prescribed space.
- Click on ‘agree’ button before submitting the form.
- After the completion and submission of the form, a unique registration id is generated. Keep this registration ID for future reference as it will be used at the time of downloading admit card and view the score.
- As the candidates click on ‘Confirm’ button, a confirmation SMS has been sent to your mail id and the mail also contains the copy of the filled application form.
Exam Pattern
The examination of AP PGECET 2016 will consists of 120 multiple choice questions. The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours, and the exam will be conducted in 2 shifts: forenoon and afternoon. The timing of forenoon will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and afternoon timing will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For each right answer, one mark will be awarded and the cutoff mark in the test will be 25%. The language of the question paper of the entrance exam of AP PGECET will be English only.Admit Card
Download the AP PGECET Hall Ticket 2016 in the month of May, 2016 from the official website by entering your valid registration ID (received during filling of the application form), DOB and registered mobile number.Result
The AP PGECET 2016 result will be available to the candidates in the official website, candidates can check their result after three weeks from the date of examination.Five Regional Test Centers for the AP PGECET exam are:
Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Tirupathi, Anantapuram
